Royal Ascot Tips: Lucky Henry
Finished second behind Gabrial last time out. Who has since run well in Group 1 company.
The pace chart for the 4.25 Britannia Stakes suggests the race will develop up the middle to far side of the track, with those in the bottom half of the draw favoured.
Drawn in stall 14, Lucky Henry shouldn’t be disadvantaged and he could give trainer Clive Cox a second win in the race after New Seeker back in 2003.
Having only his sixth start, he was mightily impressive when stepping up to a mile at Haydock last month. He beat everything apart from the useful Gabrial who subsequently finished fifth in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes on Tuesday.
Racing off a mark of 88 he still looks well handicapped and a shade overpriced at 20/1 with Betfred.
