Royal Ascot Tips: Laugh Out Loud
Won four of her last five starts and no sign that her rapid improvement has finished yet.
The 3.45 Royal Ascot is largely dependant on your opinion of the 1,000 Guineas. Homecoming Queen was a shock 9-length winner and how you judge that performance shapes this race. I’m dubious of the form – she is not the female Frankel.
She was well beaten in the Irish Guineas and I can’t help feeling her Newmarket win was a fluke. The winning margin was almost certainly magnified by the soft ground and I’m happy to swerve her at 3/1.
At a bigger price, I’m much more taken by Laugh Out Loud. Although well beaten in the English Guineas, that was the only defeat in her last five starts and she looks deeply progressive. She has improved with every run this season, culminating with victory in the Group 2 Prix De Sandringham 19 days ago.
She seems to handle all types of ground and at 5/1 (Bet365) I fancy her to improve past the two classic winning fillies in the field.
