Royal Ascot Tips: Excelebration
Playing second fiddle to Frankel, still makes him an excellent horse. Using Bodog’s special offer we can profit if he finishes runner-up again.
Unbelievably there is a way to make money in the Queen Anne Stakes (2.30 Ascot) despite the presence of Frankel in the field.
Rated the best horse in the world, I don’t see Frankel getting beaten and at 1/5 (Boylesports), neither do the bookmakers. However, there are top-three positions and each-way money to fight for. You could argue that Excelebration is comfortably the second best-miler in Europe and it is just unfortunate that he has bumped into Frankel.
If it wasn’t for Sir Henry Cecil’s wonder-horse, Excelebration would have won nine of his last ten races, only Zoffany has managed to split the two. This gives us a great opportunity to make the most of Bodog’s generous Royal Ascot offer.
Throughout Royal Ascot’s five-day festival Bodog will refund losing bets if your selection finishes second to the SP favourite, with a maximum money-back of £25. If we back Excelebration each-way at 5/1 with Bodog, we are getting ¼ odds if he finishes in the top-three, with our win stake returned if he finishes second to Frankel.
A top-three finish would guarantee a small profit regardless but with the potential cashback if he finishes second, this rates a cracking bet.
* This offer is available to all Bodog account holders, both new and existing.
*Excelebration finished second to Frankel the SP favourite, therefore to win part of the each-way bet is refunded.
