Royal Ascot Tips: Easton Angel
Ran a fast time at Beverley and an even more impressive sectional (best of the season).
Besharah will be at the top of many shortlists after her triumph at Windsor but the Queen Mary (3.05 Ascot) is staked full of good horses and the value lies elsewhere.
Easton Angel plied her trade at less fashionable tracks like Musselburgh and Beverly but acquitted herself well.
At Beverley she won in a fast time but her closing sectional was even more impressive. She ran the final 3f in 35.82s, comfortably the fastest sectional of the season and 0.6s quicker than the leading colt on the same card.
Her finishing speed of 103.1% suggests she wasn’t going flat out and there is possibly even more to come. At 6/1 (William Hill) she rates a good bet.
