Winning time at Bath 0.83s quicker than first division. Included the fastest closing sectional seen at the track this season.
After winning on debut, Heartache entered by notebook under the heading ‘won like a Royal Ascot filly’ and here she is.
At Bath she won division two of a fillies’ novice stakes and not only was her time quicker than the first division by 0.83s her closing sectional was 0.54s faster than anything else her rivals could muster. Here 33.37s split for the final 3f is the quickest at Bath this season from 372 runners.
It was the performance of a smart juvenile and she earned an adjusted speed rating of 93 to go with it. That makes her one of the best two-year-old fillies around and although she has to take on Wesley Ward’s two-year-old, she is the best of the home contingent.
