Jersey Stakes Tips: Beat The Bank
Ran a near identical time as Daban (off a slower early gallop) at Newmarket in April. Shouldn't be four times the price.
For the life of me I cannot understand the price differential between Beat The Bank and Daban. Granted the latter ran in the Guineas and advertised her form to the wider public but on the clock there is precious little between then.
Back in April they ran over 7f on consecutive days on the Newmarket Rowley course. Beat The Bank was the quicker of the pair, by 0.02s and that is despite covering the first 4f fractionally slower.
Both earned adjusted speed ratings in the high 90s and although Daban has an extra race under her belt, the price on Beat The Bank cannot be turned down.
