Coventry Tips: Kool Kompany
Hasn’t looked flashy but unbeaten in three starts and his form is strong.
Everyone is looking for the next superstar in the juvenile races at Royal Ascot and the market often overreacts to wide margin winners.
This might explain why Kool Kompany is 10/1 despite having won all three of his starts.
Richard Hannon’s charge hasn’t won a race by more than a length, but visual impressions can be misleading because he has the best form in the race.
Two starts back at Windsor he won probably an above average novices’ race, they crawled through the first 4f but Kool Kompany showed a strong turn of foot to run the final 2f in under 23 seconds and register a good overall time.
Last time out at Naas he beat a strong field to win a Listed contest despite pulling very hard.
He should be suited by a strongly run race and 10/1 (BetVictor) is generous.
