Britannia Stakes Tips: Sabador
Has run three fast closing sectionals in a row and shapes as if a good deal better than his current mark.
Sabador has been brought along quietly in modest races but the hallmark of his runs have been fast closing sectionals which hint at a fair amount of ability.
At Kempton he was the fastest closer by 0.33s, at Leicester it was 0.46s and at Ayr it was 0.27s. A winner of two of those races his only defeat came at Leicester and it was excusable. He was very keen in a small field, going a steady early tempo. He was then forced to switch wider than ideal after letting the winner get first run.
The way he races, he seems to be crying out for a strong gallop, which he will get and he earned an impressive adjusted speed rating of 92 at Ayr. Nicely drawn towards the stand’s rail he could run a huge race.
