Ripon Tips: Mukhmal
Has the advantage of the stand's rail and big chance if recreating early season form.
Mukhamal was a shock winner earlier in the season and he could pop up again in the 3.30 Ripon.
The 3-year-old has the hallmarks of a classic Mark Johnston sprinter, an inconsistent profile who rises to the big occasion.
Since his win at Newmarket he has finished 603 but prior to his win his form read 586 so we shouldn’t be put off.
His trainer wouldn’t have entered him if he didn’t think he had a chance and the big pot on offer makes it an attractive race. He handled soft conditions at Ascot and can run a big race at a big price.
