Raise Your Expectations
Well treated on the pick of his turf form and a step up to 7f could make the difference.
Things didn’t go to plan when I tipped Great Expectations last time at Lingfield but is worth giving him a second chance.
In a race where it paid to race prominently he never got involved and was beaten 5.75 lengths. However, he showed much more promise on his penultimate start clocking the fastest closing sectional despite having to plot his way through a bunched pack.
During the summer he won off a turf mark of 69 and has been largely consistent in a higher grade. This afternoon he steps up to 7f and that could prove the difference as he will be up against less speedy horses.
There is a win to be had on the all-weather with the 7-year-old and this could be it.
