Set an overly strong pace at Carlisle but only went down a short-head.

A fortnight ago at Carlisle he almost managed it. He was only beaten a short-head but the overall time was good for the grade and sectionals indicate he went too fast too soon.
He has won off a mark in the 70s before and if Royston French can save a bit more energy for this finish then he could win the 9.10 Pontefract from a favourable draw.
