Play Marjong To Win
Beaten only a length when making a slow start in an almost identical race 3 weeks ago. Capable of winning in this grade.
For the 5.40 Windsor I’m revisiting a bet I made three weeks ago.
On similar ground over the same course and distance, Marjong finished a respectable fifth, one length behind the winner.
It was a decent performance considering she blew the start and didn’t have the strong pace she needs in her races.
Her last three defeats have all been characterised by a steady early gallop, as soon as they go hard upfront I expect she will win.
Having run well in this grade I’m surprised to see her at 14/1 (Stan James) in the betting considering she was 8/1 last time out and hasn’t done anything wrong since.
