Pink Martini Can See Them Off
Not beaten far last time after setting a strong pace. In a smaller field, from a favourable draw, she can dictate matters from the front.
Pink Martini finished a disappointing sixth when we tipped her at Kempton last time but she was only beaten 2.25 lengths and had to battle for the lead.
In time it might turn out to be an above average handicap and she wasn’t helped by duelling for the lead with Feelin Dicky, who finished 5.25 lengths further down in eighth.
In the 3.00 Lingfield she only faces five rivals and from stall one she could repeat her course and distance win from January. She made all that day, dictating the pace and sprinting away with a rapid 21.83s closing sectional.
There are no other obvious pacesetters in the race and is the sort of race Patrick O’Donnell could steal from the front at a tasty 10/1 (William Hill).
