Burst into life at the end of last season and has earned ratings of 150+ in his last two starts. Still improving and unlikely the handicapper has caught up with him.
Cocktails At Dawn left it late last season, winning for the first time over fences on the final day at Sandown but it was worth the wait.
The seven-year-old slammed a decent field of novice chasers by 26-lengths and I doubt the handicapper has caught up with him yet.
He made his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow last month, making use of his novice status to win by a comfortable 3 lengths. The form of which has been franked by the third horse Native River, winning well at Exeter on his next start.
Cocktails At Dawn races off 153 in the Paddy Power Gold Cup but his last two Racing Post Ratings have been 151-155, coupled with strong speed ratings he’s probably still ahead of his mark.
Nico de Boinville is 2/2 on the horse and at 16/1 (Bet365) he is a good each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
