Nottingham Tips: Wall Of Fire
Finished sixth in the Dubai Gold Cup and the way he finished last season suggests he will feature in all the Cup races this term.
Last month I suggested Wall Of Fire would be a Cup, I like him so much I even backed him for the Dubai Gold Cup. That valuable Group 2 proved beyond him but it was his first start in 6 months and he was only beaten 9 lengths in sixth.
The 3.20 Nottingham is a step down in grade and prize money but he can set himself up for a big season.
What impressed me at Doncaster and York was his blistering turn of foot, in both wins he clocked the fastest closing sectional in the field, often by a wide margin. He should have too much of a kick if this race develops into a sprint, whilst he also has fitness on his side.
