Nottingham Tips: North America
Finished second last time but the moral victor as he made up 3.5 lengths into a quickening pace.
Charlie Appleby’s hot streak shows no sign of abating and we should jump on the bandwagon with North America in the 5.25 Nottingham.
The 3-year-old finished second to stable-mate Arabian Oasis last time at Wolverhampton but he was comfortably the best horse in the race.
Turning for home, Philip Makin established a 4.5 length lead over Shane Gray on North America and the gap proved insurmountable because they went no pace (112.1% finishing speed) early in the race.
North America put in a terrific performance to narrow the gap to a length at the line and covered the final 2f in a rapid 22.7s.
He looks a big horse with plenty of scope, he should improve with racing and the step up in trip. At 7/2 (BetVictor) he is the one to beat.
