Nottingham Tips: Dusty Storm
Victory at Brighton saw her recapture the form she showed as a 3-year-old when she was running consistently to a mark in the mid-80s.
A fortnight ago, I spent a very pleasant afternoon at Brighton racecourse but by the time of the last race a boozy fug had descended on our group. It is therefore some feat that Dusty Storm’s victory in sticks in the mind.
Ed McMahon’s filly powered home to win by 2.5 lengths but easily could have been double that distance.
Having shown precious little all season she suddenly recaptured the form of her 3-year-old campaign.
Last year her Racing Post Ratings on turf were 81-84-81-86-81. She looked back to that level at Brighton and is therefore well-handicapped racing of a mark of 74 this afternoon.
