Northumberland Plate Tips: Polarisation
Finished second in a strongly run handicap on Derby Day and should improve over further.
Polarisation has had a lot of racing in his young career (21 starts already) but he’s getting better with racing and could prove a shrewd purchase by Godolphin.
On his first start for Charlie Appleby he finished second in a 1m4f handicap on Derby Day but should prove effective over further. After tracking an overly strong pace he plugged on well for second whilst carrying top-weight and earned an impressive adjusted speed rating of 101.
He steps up to 2miles for the Northumberland Plate but should improve over further having won the Melrose Stakes over 1m6f last season for Mark Johnston.
Racing off a mark of 97, he is actually 3lbs better off than at Epsom and given his trainer’s exploits on the all-weather there should be no concerns with the surface.
