No Hassel For The Hof

No Hassel For The Hof

Won a 7f maiden that descended into a sprint. A mightily impressive performance considering he is a middle-distance horse on pedigree.

The 4.30 Newbury promises to be a high quality handicap with several unexposed horses in the line-up. It’s sure to generate future winners but the best of the lot could be Peterhof.

I’ve been looking forward to him since he first caught the eye on 15 October at Lingfield.

In a steadily run race (108.7% finishing speed), he was the furthest back as the leading quartet turned for home but he still managed to win by running a 22.1s closing sectional.

It was some performance winning a sprint finish over 7f when he is bred for middle-distance.

Peterhof holds a Derby entry and although that might seem fanciful, he could be a smart horse and we should therefore snap up the 4/1 (Bet365).
