Newmarket Tips: Misty Lord
Helped by a steady early gallop but ran the fastest closing sectional at Wolverhampton from the last 4,500 runners.
Misty Lord has only raced once, on the all-weather and that came 182 days ago but he could be absolutely thrown in off a mark of 75.
The 3-year-old showed a tremendous turn of foot on debut to cover the final 2f at Wolverhampton in 22.02s, the fastest closing sectional of the last 4,500 runners at the track.
This rapid sectional was helped by a farcically slow early pace (116.1% finishing speed) but it was still an impressive performance on debut.
It remains to be seen whether he can reproduce the same performance on turf after a lengthy absence but on my ratings I make him a 90+ horse.
