Newmarket Tip: Moraawed
Earned a sectional adjusted rating of 93 on last start, above his mark of 88. That was achieved by quickening into an accelerating pace and away from the pack. A smart performance.
It is always exciting watching juveniles make the progression to 3-year-olds and Moraawed could be one of the best. At Doncaster he started slowly and was behind in a race run at a moderate gallop. To his immense credit he knuckled down to his task, away from the pack and reeled in the leader. His closing sectional was 0.54s quicker than anything else in the race and he made his effort without a lead-out horse, away from the pack.
For a young horse to make such a big effort marks him out as special. He earned an adjusted speed rating of 93 but could be so much better than that; certainly better than a mark of 88. He should win and must be backed.
