Newcastle: Vespasian
Only danger is Yaahobby and on paper there is only 4lbs between. The reality is much great; Vespasian has been running bigger speed figures against better horses and looks to have the edge.
Vespasian and Yaahobby make their handicap debuts in the 6.00 Newcastle; there is 4lbs between them but on form the gap is much wider. Yaahobby won at 18/1 last time but the time of the race wasn’t strong and Sen Ding holds back the level. Meanwhile Vespasian gave the progressive North Lincoln a good race despite conceding 7lbs, the speed figure was also much higher.
That is three good speed ratings in a row for Vespasian and he’s probably a good deal better than his opening handicap mark.
