Record over 5f on the all-weather is 121 and quickened up well off a true solid to win last time.
Lady Bacchus has to shoulder a penalty in the 8.15 Newcastle but she’s a progressive filly and racing off a mark that is effectively 57, means she can still race in class 6 company.
A combination of blinkers and 5f on the all-weather has been the making of her and her record under such conditions are 121, including a previous course and distance victory.
Last time out she quickened well off a solid gallop to win going away with the fastest closing sectional in the race by 0.46s.
I gave her an adjusted speed rating of 60 for that win at Wolverhampton, which means she is theoretically well treated even with a penalty. The only issue is stall one but Conner Beasley knows the horse and can tuck her in behind the speed.
