Newcastle Tips: Dandy Flame
Ran a 22.02s closing sectional at Lingfield last time, his first start for William Haggas. Well treated off a mark of 75 and capable of better.
Dandy Flame was a fast finishing second at Lingfield last time out and on a straight track he might be a useful sprinter.
A 15,000 guineas purchase from Jose Santos, he ran an encouraging debut for William Haggas and further improvement can be expected.
He was slightly caught out by the solid early gallop at Lingfield but nothing was finishing better and a closing sectional of 22.02s is good. An already fast time for the grade gets upgraded to a speed rating of 83 and that is good enough to win a class 4 handicap, especially off a mark of 75.
Georgia Cox should be able to keep tabs on the leaders in a small field and his finishing burst can see him win the 4.20 Newcastle.
