Newcastle Tip: Rock Warbler
Lost the race at the start at Chelmsford but rallied from a hopeless position to finish on the heels of the leaders. Needs to break on terms but can win in this grade.
Rock Warbler won on this track at the start of October and if he breaks on terms he has every chance of scoring again.
Unfortunately, tardiness at the gates is an issue and it ruined his race at Chelmsford last time. Rearing as the stalls opened he lost 10 lengths on the leaders and because they went a true gallop he couldn’t bridge the gap early in the race.
Considering the energy he wasted, he did extremely well to run the fastest closing sectional and get to within 1.2 lengths of the winner.
This lightly raced 3-year-old still looks better than his mark and whilst he is kept to class 6 company he can win again – if breaking on terms that is.
