Newcastle Tip: Primo's Comet
Record on the all-weather is 23151 and had Outrage behind him in sixth last time out (both race similarly fast closing sectionals) but Primo's Comet is 3lbs better off.
Primo’s Comet had a busy 2018 running every month from March through to November. He’s enjoyed Christmas off and can start 2019 with a bang.
His all-weather record is 23151 and includes a course and distance win. Equally impressive is that despite his three wins he’s raced with a rating outside of the 70s; he starts 2019 off a lenient 79.
Last time out at Wolverhampton he showed a blistering turn of foot to come from off the pace and win with a 22.26s closing sectional. The only horse quicker than him was Outrage 1.5 lengths back in sixth; and the re-oppose with Primo’s Comet 3lbs better off. Considering Jim Goldie’s horse is the bigger price, it all adds up to a great bet.
