Newcastle Tip: Gloriux

Ran well on first start after wind surgery. Clocked fastest closing sectional when runner-up at Wolverhampton and stiffer track is in his favour.

Gloriux is one of the least exposed horses in the 8.20 Newcastle and if building on his reappearance at Wolverhampton he should go very close. The 4-year-old had wind surgery earlier in the year and it seemed to help as he ran the fastest closing sectional when 4 lengths second behind Krystallite.

Given his fast finish, Newcastle’s stiffer track should play to his strengths and he’s run well at the track in a higher grade. In a poor race he’s got plenty to recommend him.
