Newcastle Tip: Casey Banter
Finished third behind two well-handicapped horses who have gone on to perform well. Drop back in trip could be the making of her.
Casey Banter finished third last time out but the form has worked out well with the first two home recording finishes of 2211 on their next two starts.
Julia Feilden’s filly wasn’t able to match their closing sectionals but she was the fourth fastest over the final 3f and that is after expending early energy to make up for a bad start.
In the 4.45 Newcastle she drops down in trip but the stiff nature of the track should play to her strengths. This is a bad race that won’t take much winning and Casey Banter has shown enough.
