Newcastle: Orbital Chime
Couldn't land a glove on subsequent Gimcrack second, Marshman but beat everything else around him and doesn't carry a penalty into this contest. Is good enough to shed his maiden tag.
Orbital Chime was beaten 8.5 lengths last time out at Thirsk but he was unfortunate to bump into Gimcrack runner-up Marshman. Take him out the race however and the form takes on a different complexion.
Orbital Chime beat everything else pretty comfortably and ran a fair speed figure; it was a big improvement on his debut run and we potentially have an unpenalised ‘winner’ in the race.
He was 6.5 lengths to find on Batal Dubai on their Haydock running but that was way back in July; the favourite has a penalty to carry and has hardly been tearing it up since.
