Newcastle: James Watt

Never got going on soft ground but previously in good form and only 1lbs higher than winning better race at York during summer. Twice a runner-up in three starts over course and distance.

The market for the 7.00 Newcastle looks all wrong and James Watt should be half the price. Last time out he was never going on soft ground but previously had been in goof form is is only 1lbs higher than winning at York during the summer.

His record over course and distance is 229 having never been sent off higher than 5/1 and if anything returns in better form. A high draw could prove favourable and he’s drawn next to another horse I fancy in Victory Angel. Both would make an overpriced forecast but James Watt is plenty good enough to win this race.
