Newcastle: Idoapologise

Not beaten far in two starts for Shaun Lycett and both better races than this. Fast sectionals, good overall times but without getting the clearest of runs. Looks ready to win.

Idoapologise is hoping something I won’t be saying after the 7.00 Newcastle because on form he looks a cracking bet. Still lightly raced and relatively unexposed at sprinter distances, he’s impressed on two starts for Shaun Lycett.

He was only beaten 1.25 lenghts in a class 3 handicap at Wolverhampton, perhaps racing too far back but quickening nicely off a steady gallop. Down in trip for his last start, again he was held-up but this time he was denied a clear run. Despite this he finished with a fast closing sectional and an adjusted speed rating of 75.

He is a previous course winner, racing off a decent mark and has been unlucky in two narrow defeats.
