Newbury Tips: Mecca’s Angel
Justified her trainer’s high opinion of her by slamming a useful field at Doncaster ten days ago.
The 3.30 Newbury includes some old favourites and although it pains me to desert Take Cover, the track isn’t certain to suit him and the recent rain might blunt his speed.
Conditions have turned out perfect for Mecca’s Angel and she can continue on an upwards trajectory.
Earlier in the season Michael Dods described her as the quickest horse he’s ever had and she justified the hype by demolishing a good field at Doncaster.
She has won three of her last four starts and could be a bit special.
