Newbury Tip: Amazour

Amazour is a horse I think has a big handicap sprint in him. I was very keen on his chances in the Wokingham last year but he he got no luck in-running and finished down the field. He eventually got his recompense at Doncaster in September but he’s still overdue some luck.

At his best closing off a strong pace, his best performances have come on straight track like Newbury and he can leave his seasonal reappearance well behind. The soft ground at Haydock wasn’t to his liking and he’s better running at 6f rather than 7f, especially in tough conditions.

He’s largely forgotten about in the betting but on the pick of last year’s form he stand’s a good chance.
