Newbury: Kick On Kick On

Hardly ran a bad race during his 3-year-old campaign and always clocked good speed rating. Luckless third on last start at Nottingham and can make amends. Had wind surgery over winter.

Kick On Kick On enjoyed a productive 2018 and he might just live up to his name as a 4-year-old. This is his first outing since Wind Surgery over the winter but even without the operation there is enough to like about his form.

Kick On Kick On consistently ran good speed ratings last season and he finished the campaign with a luckless third at Nottingham. Adam Kirby seemingly had plenty of horse under him but couldn’t find a gap until too late, running on for third but never seriously asked a question. The handicapper has dropped him 1lb but arguably he is an unpenalised ‘winner’.

This is his trip, he won’t mind juice in the ground and he can start his season with a win.
