Musselburgh Tip: Alpha Delphini
Winner last time out and has also tasted success at the course before. Run respectably in hot company this season. This easier.
The 3.20 Musselburgh is a match race between the two at the front of the market and Alpha Delphini is the one to side with. He is a previous course and distance winner and half-brother to Tangerine Trees who also enjoyed good results at this Scottish track over the years.
Winner last time out at Beverley, he had Ornate 2.5 lengths behind him in third although he is 6lbs worse off this time round. The pull in the weights is unlikely to be enough because Alpha Delphini has form at a higher level. He has run in two Group 1s this season and outside of Group company his record is 21 this year. On the balance of form he should be tough to beat.
