Molecomb Tip: Fantasy
Showed blistering early speed before fading over extended 6f at the Curragh. Drops down in trip and should enjoy the sharp track.
The betting for the Molecomb (3.00 Goodwood) is ordered around how horses performed at Ascot but none of those from the Royal meeting delivered on the clock and in what could be a below average renewal of the Molecomb i’m taking a chance on Fantasy.
She is only rated 88 and took five attempts to get off the mark but she is a speed filly and should enjoy Goodwood’s sharp 5f. Last time out she showed blistering speed at the Curragh covering the first 3.29f of the race 0.8s quicker than anything else but she paid for her exertions over the 6.29f trip, which is beyond her stamina limitations.
It’s not often you get an O’Brien/Moore horse at such a huge price and her Group 1 entries suggest there might be more to Fantasy than we’ve seen on track.
