Major Muscari Overdue A Win
Has been running well all winter and looks favourably berthed in stall 2. Twice a runner-up over course and distance.
If there is any justice Major Muscari will get his head in front in the 1.50 Southwell. It is not something he finds easy with a record of 4 wins in 58 starts but he’s been running to form all winter.
Two starts back he was unlucky to bump into the well-handicapped Ohsosecret but ran a good adjusted speed rating in a narrow defeat. Last time out in a higher grade he was beaten more comfortably but didn’t get a clear run.
This afternoon he races on the Fibresand for the first time in almost a year but his course and distance record 22 and he is well drawn in stall 2.
It will be the highest mark he’s ever won off but he is in great form and worth a bet at 15/2 (Bet365).
