Magnolia Stakes Tips: Truth Or Dare

Magnolia Stakes Tips: Truth Or Dare

Probably would have beaten Our Channel with a clear run and shouldn’t be three times the price.

Truth Or Dare has been finding his feet on the all-weather after a lengthy lay-off and is building towards a big performance.

He might be one of the lowest rated horses in the Magnolia Stakes (2.15 Kempton) but several have to show their well-being after lengthy absences and probably have targets later in the turf season.

Only Truth Or Dare and Our Channel have any recent all-weather form under their belts and the price disparity doesn’t reflect how closely matched these two are.

Our Channel is better off at the weights versus their last meeting but only 0.25 lengths separated the pair and Truth Or Dare was unlucky in defeat.

Turning for home he was still travelling well but got boxed in on the rail. Martin Dwyer was forced to take a pull and switch round the winner, which probably cost him a couple of lengths. He still clocked the fastest closing 3f sectional (by 0.04s) despite having a troubled trip.

Martin Dwyer switches to Restorer this afternoon but he won’t be the first jockey to get off a winner.
