Louis Vee Tipped To Win At Wolverhampton

A surprise winner last time out but victory fully deserved because he went too quick during the early part of the race.

It is more low-grade fare in the 6.05 Wolverhampton but after the defection of Speedyfix, it’s a race I’m happy to play.

Over the winter, the slow surface at Wolverhampton has suited front-runners, similar to Southwell in that respect, and Louis Vee could take advantage of a soft lead.

He was a shock 33/1 winner on his last start but having analysed the race he won on merit.

The 6-year-old covered the first 4f of the race too quickly, which affected the overall time but he showed great tenacity to keep going and win by 1.25 lengths.

His early pace should get him an easy lead and the drop in trip might actually suit him, especially if his jockey judges the fractions slightly better.
