Lingfield Tips: Zac Brown
Won a class 2 handicap only three starts back. Has struggled on turf since but is well drawn and has the early pace to capitalise.
Backing Zac Brown to win the 7.50 Lingfield has the potential to go horribly wrong. On his last two starts he’s been beaten 17.5 lengths and 7.5 lengths and it might just be he’s a far superior all-weather horse.
However, I am willing to give him a chance at a price because only three starts ago he won a class 2 handicap at Wolverhampton and this evening races in a class 4 contest.
Well drawn in stall 10, he has the favoured stand’s rail to race against and has the early pace to take advantage of. He showed bright speed at Goodwood two starts back but got involved in a protracted battle for the lead, which ruined his race.
If he jumps smartly, Freddie Tylicki could dominate and with the hood reapplied there are enough positives to strike a wager.
