Lingfield Tips: What A Dandy

Ran well despite pulling very hard last time out. Trainer and jockey have a 29% strike rate this year.

After a relatively nondescript season What A Dandy showed some promise nine days ago at Yarmouth and he’s a big price at 12/1 (BetVictor) if building on that performance.

The 3-year-old was only beaten by 1.5 lengths despite pulling hard early in the race and then being left to make the running. If he can be settled quickly we should see some improvement.

Trainer Jim Boyle is enjoying a good summer, with his strike rate staying above 13% in each of the last four months and the Epsom handler has teamed up to good effect with Pat Cosgrave. They have a 29% strike rate (6-21) and show a £14.75 level stakes profit this year.

With a potentially favourable draw in stall 10 there is plenty to like about What A Dandy in the 5.40 Lingfield.
