Lingfield Tips: Uramazin
Previously a smart performer but hasn’t won for a long time. Showed signs of life when a fair third at Wolverhampton.
It has been a long time between drinks for Uramazin, his last win coming in February 2010, although it was a Group 2 in Hong Kong.
The 8-year-old is clearly past his peak but he is still a useful performer on his day and showed signs of life at Wolverhampton last month.
Held up off a very steady gallop (114% finishing speed) he did well to get within 3 lengths of the winner, matching Personal Opinion’s final 2f sectional of ~22.9s.
Personal Opinion has run well again since to solidify the form and around this time last year, Uramazin was placing in the Listed Churchill Stakes.
With no world-beaters in the field, this race reads more like a class 3 handicap and that makes it winnable for Uramazin.
