Lingfield Tips: Shyron
Not had much luck at Lingfield recently but won the race last year and returns off a 2lbs lower mark.
Shyron hasn’t had much luck this winter and although connections have reached for a first-time visor, there are other influences at play.
To be at his best Shyron needs a fast pace and a clear run, he got neither last time at Lingfield but was still only beaten 3.5 lengths. On his penultimate start at the track he was only beaten a short-head, this despite clocking a rapid 21.78s closing sectional.
I think you’ve just got to accept that occasionally you will be hard done by, given his running style but his strike rate on the all-weather is 6/23 so there is nothing ungenuine about him.He won this race last year off a 2lbs higher mark and although his form isn’t nearly as compelling, the finishing kick remains.
