Lingfield Tips: Secret Queen
Close second in this race last year and can capitalise on a sliding handicap mark.
The 4.15 Lingfield is the best of bad bunch today, with only two meetings to choose between. With only six runners in the race and no confirmed pace this could turn into a muddling affair.
I wouldn’t want to be taking a short price considering we don’t know how the race will pan out. If Amazing Win is forced to the front, she could be a sitting duck in the home straight and looks poor value at 9/4.
Secret Queen has a moderate strike rate but she is racing off a career low mark and should capitalise sooner rather than later. She finished a short-head second in this race last year, and carries 7lbs less today.
Luke Morris takes the ride, another positive, and these small factors give her a better chance than her 10/1 quote with William Hill.
