Lingfield Tips: Scrafton
Won over hurdles during the summer and should relish step up in trip. Don’t rule out further improvement on second start for Tony Carroll.
Scrafton takes a big leap in distance for the 2.50 Lingfield but considering he won over 16.5f at Market Rasen during the summer, he won’t be short of stamina.
More importantly for the all-weather is his turn of foot. Last time out at Wolverhampton he ran the fastest closing sectional and came from a long way back to finish a close third, despite the steady (108% finish speed) gallop.
This afternoon is his second start for Tony Carroll and I expect his shrewd trainer can eek out further improvement.
He takes a drop in grade compared to last time and looks feasibly treated off a mark of 68 and can win at 5/1 (Bet365).
