Lingfield Tips: Rylee Mooch

Been running well on turf but a better horse on the all-weather. Should capitalise on a declining handicap mark.

Rylee Mooch was a non-runner when I tipped him 12 days ago but the same logic holds. The 3.30 Lingfield is a weak class 5 contest and he should capitalise on a declining handicap rating.

The 6-year-old is 8lbs below his last winning mark and back on his favourite surface he can make it pay.

Rylee Mooch record by surface
All-weather:  win rate 10.3%; placed 37.9%
Turf: win rate 4.8%; placed 33.3%

Richard Guest’s sprinter hasn’t been beaten by more than four lengths on his last two turf starts but he is a much better horse on an artificial surface.

He is a two-time course and distance winner and from a good draw he should go close at 5/1 (William Hill).
