Lingfield Tips: Piscean
Shaped with promise on his last start, finishing strongly having been held up in rear.
Piscean has been struggling for form since his win at Goodwood back in May 2013 but he showed signs of returning to form on his last start 37 days ago.
In an evenly run contest, he had too much ground to make up at Lingfield but he stayed on nicely from the back to get within 4.75 lengths of Rivellino, in a class 2 handicap.
The 9-year-old was given a sympathetic ride when his chances were gone, and I suspect there a little bit more to come on his second start back from a break.
He will need a strong pace and luck in running but is overpriced at 11/1 (William Hill).
