Malaysian Boleh almost landed the spoils for us on Boxing Day and what led us to back him 12 days ago still hold.
If anything, the 7-year-old was unlucky to finish second. Held-up in midfield, the winner was allowed to dictate the pace, which was on the steady side of good. It meant Malaysian Boleh was always playing catch-up and despite running the fastest closing sectional the winner had enough energy in reserve.
The second fastest closer in the race was Rock Warbler, who franked the form by winning at Newcastle and Malaysian Boleh could go in next.
His course and distance record is 63311 and he can chalk up his eighth career win in the 1.10 Lingfield.
