Lingfield Tips: Lexington Times
Gave Shyron a good race when they met at Lingfield in March and subsequent runs should have put him spot on for today.
Lexington Times finished 1.5 lengths behind Shyron last time they met at Lingfield and there is a good chance he turns around the form.
That race in March was his first start in four months and was ceding a fitness edge to his rival. If that wasn’t bad enough, a slow start gave Shyron a positional advantage that he was unable to overcome despite clocking a fractionally quicker closing sectional.
Lexington Times has struggled on the Fibresand and soft turf since but his mark has slipped as a result and is much better off at the weights compared to his last meeting with Shyron before you add Hollie Doyle’s 7lbs claim.
Richard Hannon’s colt has ability and can make the most of a drop in grade for the 2.20 Lingfield.
