Lingfield Tips: Head Space
Hasn’t been able to go the pace at the minimum trip but has run the fastest closing sectional on his last two starts. Back at 6f today.
It’s been a long time since Head Space last tasted success (almost 18 months) but he’s got ideal conditions in the 3.10 Lingfield.
The 8-year-old is down to his lowest ever mark and he’s returned to his optimum trip. On his last two starts he’s run over 5f but that is too sharp for him, especially on the all-weather. On his penultimate start at Chelmsford he ran the fastest closing sectional but couldn’t make up enough ground on a well-handicapped winner.
It was a similar story at Dundalk. He got too far behind in a race where the winner made all but again ran the fastest closing sectional, this time hampered by a poor draw and racing four-wide around the bend.
This afternoon he is back at 6f, is well drawn in stall 1 and if getting the gaps, he will go close.
